Return Policy

Because our items are made-to-order, we do not accept returns or exchanges. For yardage and pillows, we encourage you to order sample swatches prior to making a purchase. Once received, please inspect your order. If you believe your item to be defective, damaged or incorrect, please contact us upon receipt so that we may be of assistance. No returns or refunds of irregular material will be accepted if fabric has been cut or treated.

Shipping

Our sample swatches are shipped via USPS Priority Mail 2-3 Day Shipping. Pillows are shipped wrapped in protective plastic in boxes to suit the size. Fabrics are shipped on the roll via UPS with adult signature required, and we are happy to ship directly to your workroom if desired (please make sure to add a note or contact us). Most other orders will ship UPS Ground. Insurance is included in shipping costs. We always try to minimize packaging and waste as much as possible.

Shipping Rates

Shipping is dependent on item(s) weight and your location. All pillow orders ship out of our studio in Charleston, South Carolina. Yardage ships directly from our printer in Pennsylvania. To see the rate for your order fill out your information in checkout and your cost will be calculated based on your items and location or contact us and we’re happy to give you that information as well.

Timeframes

Fabrics and pillows are made-to-order and ship within 2-3 weeks of the order being placed. Transit time is dependent on your location in relation to our studio in Charleston, SC. You will receive tracking once your order has shipped. Rush printing and delivery is available. Please email us for more information

Swatches & Sampling

While we do our best to represent colors accurately, please note that individual computer monitors display color slightly differently. We strongly suggest ordering swatches. In addition, color, weight and scale can best be experienced with a swatch of fabric in hand. Larger memos and strike-offs can be made available upon request.

CFAs

All of our fabric is printed to order, therefore CFAs are not available.

Product Quality

We are a bit of perfectionists over here at Palmette and we spend a great deal of time perfecting color, scale, pattern and quality for our products. Our first fabric collection is exclusively printed on 100% Belgian linen. As with any natural material, there can be slight imperfections (occasional nubs or minimal print coverage irregularity) that might be visible if you look very closely at your printed cloth. We appreciate the perfectly imperfect nature of using natural grounds. It is considered standard and expected when working with linen specifically. Belgian linen is known for its classic quality, but not considered a performance fabric. However, linen does accept fabric coatings very well, which can enhance durability and stain resistance. We are happy to ship them to the finisher of your choice.

Fabric & Printing

Our fabric is printed to order in the USA using water based eco-friendly light-fast pigment dyes. Our first collection is printed on 100% Belgian Linen. These materials can have slight variation in color from dye lot to dye lots. Therefore slight color variation can occur and is not considered an irregularity. All of our designs originate as painted or hand-drawn concepts which are then transferred to a printing process that keeps this integrity intact. We go to great lengths to create fabric that has depth, texture, imperfection and variation to mimic the handmade nature of the original art. Subtle variations of color and texture may occur and are to be embraced. Because of the nature of our printing, our fabrics are not recommended for heavy-use or commercial upholstery. With heavy abrasion, one can wear through the surface design to the fibers below. However, linen does accept fabric coatings very well, which can enhance durability and stain resistance. We are happy to ship them to the finisher of your choice.

Care

Gentle spot cleaning is recommended for all of our fabrics. Warm iron may be used as needed. Our fabrics are not guaranteed against natural wear, scratches, stretching, shrinkage, fading, or dye-lot variations.

Heavyweight vs. Standard Weight Linen

We always recommend sampling to find out what weight is right for your project. Heavyweight is great for light use upholstery and pillows. Lightweight can be used for pillows as well as drapery and shades. It’s all personal preference so please sample prior to ordering!

Upholstery Usage

Our linen and linen blend grounds are the best option for slipcovers and light use upholstery. However, because of the nature of our printing, our fabrics are not recommended for heavy-use or commercial upholstery. Environmental Impact

Our printing process is eco-friendly by using less water, paper and waste and no run-off. We also strive to minimize and reuse packaging whenever possible.
